the big bad wolf

The name's Klaus Mikaelson. I'm sure it's an absolute pleasure to make your acquaintance. Unfortunately I'm not the type for irrelevant chit chat, love. My sincere apology.

mysterious-damon: Text: Fine, don't have my help then.

Text: I usually don’t care much for things I don’t need, so this doesn’t affect me.

mysterious-damon: Text: I think you're forgetting who the human is in this... I'm still a vampire and I can easily kill you so don't push me. You want Katherine dead, I want Katherine dead, what could possibly go wrong?

Text: Whoever said I would need a vampire’s help to get rid of our dear Katerina, even in my human form? I think you are yet again making the mistake of underestimating me, Damon.

mysterious-damon: Text: We should team up. You know I'm the better brother after all.

Text: Ah, if it isn’t the man of the moment, Mister Damon Salvatore. And why do you think I would accept the help of a little vampire, who has sought after my life for the longest time?

Fancy Seeing You Here || Klaus & Katherine

kaboompierce:

Humanity wasn’t suiting him she thought with a remark, catching the slight irritation that crossed his face when he hadn’t seen her coming up behind him. It was enough to draw out a fake smile onto Katherine’s face as finished a glass of brandy and slid it back across the counter, ordering more with a quick glare of compulsion towards the waitress. “Do you want me to get yours free too?” she asked Klaus, her voice sickly sweet as she tried to mask the annoyance that was beginning to show in her expressions and replies to her enemy. At least that had him annoyed she thought, though she knew that she would be a fool to push him too far; he could have invested in some hunter training. Or have the witches on his side. He always had a thing for witches.

“Although perhaps the ending will be a little different this time.” she contributed to the conversation as Klaus carried it forward; looking expectingly at her for a witty reply. And what Klaus demanded, she had to deliver. She knew that he knew that she was out to kill him and wondered if he was going to even try and persuade her not to; a half hearted apology perhaps. She shook the thought from her mind, Klaus knew a whole lot better than that. And one thing that they both shared was a stubborn pride which had served in their argument for the last five centuries. She wouldn’t have accepted it anyway. He made her life a living hell. He had stopped her from being with Damon- ripped them apart. He was going to pay.

She had to give it to him though, whatever he was feeling; he didn’t let Katherine see it and refused to be the prey in the situation. She had a feeling that he was going to insist on dying quickly and like a nobleman. And somehow she knew, that no matter how much she hated him; he would exert that charm that had hooked her, all those years ago and she would be unable to resist him. Forcing those thoughts to stay locked up again, she met his gaze evenly and with a slight smirk as she raised her glass to his, giving a toast.

Not for anything in this world, Klaus would have wanted to let Katherine notice how weak he felt, old and, he did not even like to think it, human. All these centuries, which he had spent in a rush, these years that often hadn’t felt longer for him than a few brief moments, now lay heavy on his shoulders and made him seem like the shadow of the hybrid every werewolf and vampire to equal parts had formerly feared. ”But oh no, how can you be so cruel to take away this poor woman’s merits? Shame on you, darling,” he replied, lowering his voice, slight amusement playing in his deep voice, as he lifted up his glass and watched the gold-brown liquid floating at its bottom, before he lifted it to his lips and took the last sip of it.

“I think I will decline your invitation this time and try to be a decent citizen of this fine little town for once,” he added at last and reached into his back pocket, from which he drew his brown leather wallet. A moment after, he had thrown a little money onto the counter and now turned to face the beauty, which he knew could be ever so cunning, completely. He raised an eyebrow and slightly titled his head to the side, grinning at her statement, his eyes glimmering darkly. “Oh, I’m certain the ending will be different, my dear.”

He didn’t say any more, letting the words hang in the air between them, not mentioning whether he thought it would end badly for him or for her. But then again, if he was to die, it would end badly for the both of them — only, she did not know that yet or so Klaus suspected. Hopefully that was to his advantages.

Fancy Seeing You Here || Klaus & Katherine

kaboompierce:

Rumour had it that the big bad, almost, wolf was back in town and more vulnerable than ever. Apparently he had been looking for answers; as to why he was in this state and Katherine knew that it was even more imperative that she kill the Original and fast, before either Damon or any of his family realized what she had been up to. Looked like her plans of torturing Klaus on a replicata stone alter would have to wait for another life. But she knew that she had to be careful, even as a human- Klaus was still deadly, strong and trained in the art of killing. She could hardly imagine that he had spent  his childhood studying books. No, he would have learnt how to fight and teamed up with someone else; would pose a deadly threat.

Poison would be a great thing to use, Katherine pondered as she checked her phone for another message from Damon- hoping that she could use it to her advantage and manipulate him back into loving her. Because she knew he did, deep down; it was just going to take some time. Well, that was one thing that she wasn’t short of at least. Again, she had abandoned all pretense of being Elena, preferring to stick in her skin tight jeans and rather low cut top rather than don the pregnancy pad again. On a whim, she decided to go to the grill. Damon might even be there. And if he wasn’t, she could always pick up a bite to eat.

What she hadn’t expected however, was her enemy to be sat there, right on the stool talking and charming the waitress. No doubt that was because of the lack of compulsion. But Katherine still had to be careful, she had no idea to what extent his control had weakened and still took a shot of vervain just to make sure. Quietening down her chokes, she walked into the grill; pretending that his company wasn’t making her spine tingle with irritation and that secretly- she was shivering inside with fear. “What a pleasant surprise.” she greeted, her tone bitter, as she ordered brandy and waited for Klaus to say something witty and sharp in reply.

Klaus didn’t even bat an eyelash as he heard the familiar voice of a certain vampire lady speak up behind him; though a knot of anger formed in his stomach due to his missing ability of knowing she had stepped inside The Grill before she approached him. Darn these useless human skills, or non-existent skills, so to speak. So many decades had gone by in which he had not been mortal, he almost forgot what it was like being one and therefore not being able to rely on his vampire senses. A part of him wondered how he ever got by living like this.

“Isn’t it always?”, he announced in a sweet, nevertheless sort of mocking, tone and turned to the side so that he could face the curly haired brunette, whom he had known for quite a hundred of years. The waitress he had previously been speaking with turned away to give them some privacy, even if she appeared not to be too delighted that Klaus’ attention was all Katherine’s now. It didn’t matter much to him. He might belong to her species now, but he could simply not see more than a blood bag or a living toy in any of these useless creatures. “Our encounters over the years have indeed proven that to me at least, my dear Katerina.”

He picked up the glass of Bourbon in front of him and took a sip of it, though never breaking the eye contact with his interlocutor. She wouldn’t be stupid enough to try something here, while everybody was watching, no matter how reckless the little vampire might be, but Klaus’ took her quite serious now. When you were playing a mixture of hide and seek and predator and prey as long as the two of them, you perhaps couldn’t help but become aware of strengths and weaknesses of one another. Good thing for the Original that he knew Katherine Pierce well enough to be smart and stay on guard while she was around.

Fancy Seeing You Here || Klaus & Katherine

While Klaus enjoyed mortality with tiny little humans he could feed on, he certainly did not enjoy being one of them. For almost a week, he had now been in this state and it felt like the days were passing by slower. The nightlights were not as bright anymore, the noises not as loud and he had lost the ability to hear a person’s blood bumping through their veins and how its speed increased when he revealed his true self to them or made it obvious that he was a threat at all and meant danger.

He hated the fact that a mere condition forced him to seek the safety, crowded places and to consider his words and actions twice before actually making them reality. But then he remembered that not a single vampire could really affect him, and it took a bit of the uncomfortable feeling that had been building up inside of him away. He had to thank his bloodline for this and the fact that more than just a handful of vampires came from it, and therefore could not kill him, not without the risk of sacrificing their own lives. It seemed as if the only thing these deceitful creatures feared more than him being alive was their own death, which Klaus could not blame them for. It surely would have to be frustrating to provoke their own downfall by killing one man — or in his sister’s case woman — when one had gone through so much trouble and sorrow as most of them had.

Klaus approached a slim waitress standing behind the counter of The Grill and favored her with a dazzling smile. “Would you be so kind to bring me a Bourbon, love?”, he order, his charming voice wrapping pleasantly around her as she immediately followed his request, placing the drink right in front of him after he had positioned himself on the barstool across from her. “Thank you.”, he commented, smiling at her yet again, though already turning his head to observe the happenings in the little place out of routine.

Ah, Mystic Falls. How nice of you to welcome me back once again.

santanaz:

Klaus. I hoped you’re dead. Such a shame that you’re not..

Now that’s not very welcoming, but then again; I shouldn’t be surprised by your lack of manners, now should I?

Ah, Mystic Falls. How nice of you to welcome me back once again.

wickedfayechamberlain:

That’s where you’d be mistaken. You’re so predictable, it’s almost funny

And you, my dear, are trying so hard to be the one to have the last word, that it is amusing me immensely.

wickedfayechamberlain:

He’s had plenty of chances Klaus, you seem to think I have him whipped.

I’m under the impression it’s more likely the other way around, darling.

Ah, Mystic Falls. How nice of you to welcome me back once again.

kaboompierce:

Then perhaps we should drink a toast to it.

And hope that nothing happens.

I never knew you were so concerened about my well-being, Katerina. It’s almost touching, really.
